QUIZ QUESTION REVELATION

The question, at our previous post, was about conspiracy movies and revelations. Specifically, two 1962 films which prophetically anticipated the JFK assassination the following year. One of the two films was easier to guess: “The Manchurian Candidate.” But what’s the second?

What would throw people off the track is that it’s a Western. One directed by John Ford yet. It contains, near the end, one of the great lines in all of cinema, one that reverberates with meaning. But it also contains a brief flashback scene before this which is a depiction of so much conspiracy theorizing that followed: an accepted narrative about a shooting, followed by an offstage intrusion, as if from another universe, or a different dimension.

You have to watch the movie to know what I’m talking about! “The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.” A great flick.
